AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF NEWTON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONVEY CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE BEULAH HUBBARD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CLUB, INC., OR TO SUCH OTHER NONPROFIT CIVIC ORGANIZATION AS THE BOARD CONSIDERS APPROPRIATE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Newton County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to convey to the Beulah Hubbard Community Development Club, Inc., a nonprofit civic organization, or to such other nonprofit civic organization as such board may consider appropriate, the following described real property.

Commence at a fence corner at the northwest corner of the

NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 36, Township 8 North,

Range 12 East, Newton County, Mississippi; Being the

POINT OF BEGINNING of the herein described land;

Thence run N 88° 41'E, 440 feet to the west right-of-way

line of the Beulah Hubbard-Hickory road;

Thence run S 31° 21'E, 304.58 feet along said

right-of-way to a point;

Thence run West 598.34 feet to the west line of the

NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4;

Thence run North 250 feet along said fence, back to the

POINT OF BEGINNING; being a part of the NE 1/4 of the

NW 1/4 of Section 36, T8N,R12E, and part of the SE 1/4

of the SW 1/4 of Section 25, T8N,R12E, all in Newton

County, MS and containing 3.0 acres more or less.

SECTION 2. Newton County shall retain all mineral rights to the property conveyed pursuant to this act.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
